It’s almost impossible to put my feelings towards Chiropractic care into words!
After carrying and giving birth to my 3rd child, who sat backwards in my tummy, is when my lower back and leg pain began. I talked it over with my OBGYN, he chalked it up to the baby sitting on my sciatic nerve and told me it would get better after delivery.
Delivery came and went, time passed and nothing was getting better. At my 6 week check-up I re-addressed the pain with my doctor and he referred me to physical therapy. I went to therapy, which was 1 visit, and they gave me stretching and strengthening exercises to do. Didn’t work and I learned to live with the pain and dealt with it.
Along comes my 4th child, another one who sat the same way! It was a long 9 months and the doctors didn’t have much to say to help with the pain. I was told it’s basically part of being pregnant. After delivery the pain stayed, got worse and I continued to live with it.
It got to a point where I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t sit on the floor and get up without help; couldn’t sit for long periods of time, if I bent over I could hardly straighten back up. (Things as simple as bending over to change a baby’s diaper were impossible!)
I went back to my M.D. desperately seeking help. Went to x-ray, nothing shows. Had an MRI, nothing wrong. Had 3 steroid injections in my lower back that temporarily took the pain away and helped put on 10 lbs!
Again, I had given into the fact this was going to be my way of life. Life was miserable! I had already started telling my husband, “I hope our wedding vows are sacred to you, by the time I’m 50, I think I’m going to be in a wheel chair and you’re going to have to take care of me.”
One day at a softball game, I was trying to get up from the bench and one of my friends noticed the pain. I explained all I had been through and he said to me, “why don’t you go see Mitch”. Dr. Mitch Patterson was a coach in our league.
I gave it a try. I took 6 years of pain to Mitch, he educated me on the spine and nerves and I started treatment. One month later, I had a new lease on life! I could sit, I could sleep, I could bend over; I felt like a new person! I was in total awe of the simple procedures it took to bring me back to good health after so much suffering and dead-end medical help!
I can’t brag to people enough about my care. I think people think I’m crazy when I get so excited about telling them where I was and where I am now! Give it a try, you have nothing to lose!

I started seeing Dr. Lundquist when I was 36 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. We had found out that the baby was transverse so the baby was laying sideways. It was particularly concerning because we wanted to have a natural birth. My doctor told me that as long as the baby stayed that way, we were definitely going to have to have a C-section and that was the complete opposite of everything we had been hoping and training for. So instead of just waiting, we decided to be proactive.
I saw Dr. Anne three times over the course of five days and after the adjustments, not only was I feeling better in terms of my back and my pelvic pain but I went to my OB and he did an ultrasound. He verified that the baby had moved into the proper position and was head down, (so) that wouldn’t be something that would prevent us from having the natural birth we are hoping for.
So I am feeling a lot better, very excited, about two weeks away from delivering, and hopeful for a nice easy natural birth!

I am 34 weeks pregnant and I have been seeing Dr. Anne Lundquist since I was 29 weeks and prior to seeing her I had major back issues, I was experiencing sciatica, and I was also having extreme tailbone pain. I was unable to sit for more than 15 minutes at a time, stand for a total of an hour in one day, but since I have been seeing her it has been amazing. I have been able to have my social life again, play with my four-year-old son and I just feel so much better!
I encourage all you pregnant women out there to come and see her because she is amazing!

Dr. Lundquist is awesome! She has helped me and my husband over the years with pain, spinal alignment and other problems. Most recently she helped during my pregnancy (as she is trained in Webster technique), alleviating lower back pain, and helping get the baby in the correct position. She also worked with our newborn right after birth, as he had a tight jaw and we had challenges with breastfeeding. She is knowledgeable, personable, and always provides good insight. We highly recommend her!

Anne Lundquist is a gifted chiropractor with an intuitive way of working with pregnant women. I first started seeing Anne when I was almost 8 months pregnant; she made me feel at ease and had numerous modifications and pillows that allowed me to find physical comfort during my adjustments. Her exam is thorough and the tools she uses are cutting edge. She was able to adjust me and zeroed in on areas that might be affecting my pelvis, as she explained to me how the position of the pelvic basin could influence the position of the baby and feedback to affect ease of delivery. It was so interesting learning how it is all connected and how measures I take before the birth could influence my labor and delivery. I also slept so much more easily after adjustments and positioning advice by Anne. Anne Lundquist is also my Bradley Method teacher. She is able to share personal anecdotes and thorough information in a way that made my husband and me feel more confident going into our natural birth. I wholeheartedly recommend Anne for Bradley classes and prenatal chiropractic. She really is a precious resource for pregnant women in Orange County.

I am what doctors like to call one of “those patients” that are really hard to treat. I have symphysis pubis dysfunction or disorder. In my last pregnancy, it was really severe.
Dr. Anne Lundquist was the fifth person I saw for this problem. (In my second pregnancy) It was getting so painful that I was getting ready to ask for medication for depression because I couldn’t handle the pain and the first two doctors that I saw said that there was nothing that they could do, then I saw a chiropractor who knew what I had finally had and said there was nothing he could do, I saw a midwife who said there was nothing she could do and here’s a painkiller. It didn’t work.
Then I saw Dr. Lundquist and she said “Oh, lay down” and five minutes later I could walk again for the first time in several weeks! I was 39 weeks along and had a great week after that. I saw her a second time and went into labor that night, feeling pretty good and had a normal, healthy vaginal birth, no problems and got up from the labor, feeling pretty good! So this first week with my baby has been great. She gets credit for that!

I started going to Dr. Anne when I was 38 weeks. I was struggling with pubic symphysis as well as hip pain. I could hardly even walk around the house without thinking if I was going to pull a muscle, and flipping in bed was nearly impossible until I went to see Dr. Lundquist. I had been going to a different chiropractor who said they specialized in pregnancy and didn’t receive the help that I needed. After going to Dr. Anne, after the first visit I noticed a huge difference. I was able to go on walks again with my husband and my son and sleeping was so much better. I could actually get sleep!

When I first came to see to see Dr. Lundquist I was 32 weeks pregnant and I had been having pelvic pain, pubic pain, lower back pain, leg pain, I wasn’t able to sit down, walk to lie on my side and I was having a difficult time sleeping, as well, and I needed to get some help because I had gestational diabetes and I had to walk in order to control it. So I came in here and she started doing some chiropractic adjustments on me and I was able to start walking for an hour and a half a day (a half hour threes time a day) afterwards and I did not need medication. The doctors thought that I would need medication (for the Gestational Diabetes) and I didn’t. With her help I was able to continue walking to now, and I am 40 weeks pregnant, still walking an hour and a half a day. I highly recommend Dr. Lundquist.

I am currently pregnant and I have been coming to see Dr. Lundquist for three pregnancies. My oldest is about 3 and ½ years-old, so they are very close together. During my second pregnancy, I started having symphysis pubis pain, pelvic pain, and sciatica that ranges from anything from irritating to acute and painful when rolling over in bed… but you still have to roll over in bed! You have to figure out how to live with it, and Dr. Lundquist has been very helpful with regular adjustments being able to function and walk and sleep without having lots of pain. It’s been wonderful and I recommend it to everyone. It makes your pregnancy much happier and much more fun when you can walk and sleep without pain.

I first came to Dr. Lundquist when I was 37 weeks pregnant. I was experiencing some sciatic pain, a lot of symphysis pubis pain, pain in my groin, having trouble turning over in bed, walking, getting in and out of bed, putting on pants; kind of your classic pains. It began after my first delivery but I was never diagnosed. So during my second pregnancy when I started feeling the symptoms, I knew I needed help.
She was excellent, very gentle, and took into consideration what was comfortable for me; her equipment is amazing!
I would feel relief immediately. I would come hobbling in and just walk out of the office just so pain free. I probably saw her about a week after the delivery of my baby and she made the recovery so much quicker.
I would highly recommend Dr. Lundquist. I had tried another chiropractor and a physical therapist and she was the only one that brought me relief.
